On the occasion of the Standard Essential Patents Strategy Conference Premier Cercle asked Mr. Iancu the following.
Premier Cercle: “Good Morning Mr. Iancu. Patents and other forms of intellectual property are critically important to the development of standards in the first place. As a result, our intellectual property must be carefully balanced so that innovation is spurred and, at the same time, fair users of standards-based technology are unduly not burden with over-valued royalties. Why voluntary consensus standards shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution are utterly necessary within robust intellectual property systems?
